Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Homelessness Support Specialist to join our team on a maximum term, part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide assistance to clients, participants, and residents to support them in achieving set outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage waitlist portfolio, offering crisis management and early intervention where required.
  • Work to the direction of case management plans in assisting clients to attend appointments relating to health, housing, finances, education, justice, and social inclusion as required.
  • Assist residents with a range of activities in preparing for independent living: meals preparation; life and living skills; health and hygiene; recreation and exercise.
  • Accurately keep up to date with client records and data maintained to TSA standards.
  • Respond to and manage critical incidents and emergencies as relevant.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A qualification in Community Services or similar with demonstrated previous experience working in a similar crisis support setting.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness.
  • Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required.
  • SA Working with Children check.
  • A current SA driver's Licence.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
