About Our Role

We are seeking a dedicated community service professional to work within a restorative practice framework, ensuring cultural accountability.

The Community Liaison supports Aboriginal community members at risk of and/or experiencing homelessness, contributing to embedding an innovative Aboriginal designed service model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fostering clients' support systems and ensuring they access necessary services
  • Providing assertive outreach in various locations
  • Collaborating with partner Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to deliver client work

About You

You're passionate about making a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.

With a deep understanding of collective culture and community dynamics, you build trust through respectful, culturally safe relationships.

As a collaborative team member, you ensure holistic, person-led outcomes.

Most importantly, you share our vision of ending homelessness and believe in the power of community, connection, and cultural identity.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Services (e.g. Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Community Development)
  • Extensive relevant experience or Diplomas in related fields
  • Experience in Cultural Planning, Relationship Mapping, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Domestic and Family Violence, Aboriginal Health

Essential Requirements

We prioritize child and vulnerable people's safety and protection.

Applicants will be considered in accordance with our safeguarding practices and suitability.

  • Full unrestricted South Australia Driver's Licence
  • Working With Children check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Training: Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • Training: Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes)
