Job Opportunity

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions is seeking a strategic partner to lead and manage the delivery of a high-quality, contemporary human resources service delivery function.

This includes organisational design and workforce planning, classification and remuneration, recruitment, contract management, organisational change, HR policy development and review, performance management, and employee relations.

As a key member of the Corporate Services Division, the successful candidate will provide timely, accurate expert advice through a proactive HR business partnering model and fit-for-purpose people solutions.

The role requires leading the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems that align with public sector legislation and contribute to PIRSA's goal to be an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of a high-quality, contemporary human resources service delivery function.
  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems.
  • Provide timely, accurate expert advice through a proactive HR business partnering model.
  • Contribute to the achievement of strategic priorities and ensure compliance with public sector legislation.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive.
  • Out of hours work and intrastate travel may be required.
  • Ability to undertake emergency management training and participate in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
