Production Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Production Specialist to operate and maintain equipment, ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

About the Role

  • Batching of products in a timely manner to meet production requirements
  • Accurate interpretation of recipes and translation into product by weighing, measurement, calculation, and combination of raw materials
  • Minimizing product losses by following established processes and guidelines
  • Performing quality control testing on ingredients and samples
  • Monitoring raw material usage and handling to minimize ingredient losses
  • Maintaining syrup room operations in accordance with GMP standards
  • General cleaning of areas, tools, machinery, utensils, and disposal of waste
  • Monitoring plant performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues
  • Participating in Asahi Way programs, meetings, and activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade or degree qualification in electrical, mechanical, engineering, automotive, or related disciplines
  • A current forklift license
  • Experience as a machine operator in the FMCG industry
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Effective communication skills and a positive attitude in a team environment
  • Ability to juggle numerous responsibilities without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks maintaining high accuracy and focus
  • A passion for safety and commitment to operating in a safe manner
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems
