About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at the ORS Group. As a Behavioural Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services to individuals with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to increase a person's quality of life, improve skills, and enhance independence.
  • Work collaboratively with allied health practitioners, support workers, and family members to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours, and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation, and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce restrictive practices.
  • Provide training and regular follow-up and review to ensure the effectiveness of PBS plans.
Requirements
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered)
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain one for a client-facing role
