About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Therapist to join our Positive Behaviour Support team at ORS Group. As a Behavioural Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services to individuals with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other diagnoses.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess and develop Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, working closely with clients, their families, and support workers to achieve optimal outcomes. You will also be responsible for implementing and reviewing PBS plans, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans for clients with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and support workers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Assess and observe clients' challenging behaviours, identifying strategies to reduce restrictive practices and increase skills and independence
  • Provide training and support to support workers and families on PBS plans and strategies
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of PBS plans to ensure they are effective and meet clients' needs

Requirements
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered)
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client-facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
