Mental Health Clinician Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of evidence-based clinical practice for young people aged 12-25 years.

  • As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide psychological interventions and clinical assessments to young people presenting with low-moderate mental health concerns.
  • You will determine the appropriate clinical pathway for young people accessing the service in collaboration with the Mackay Clinical Lead and Centre Manager.
  • You will contribute to the development of early intervention youth mental health services and participate in regular case review meetings to support appropriate care for all clients entering the service.
About You
  • Suitable professions include Registered Psychologist, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
  • You will need degree-level qualifications in professional counselling or a social work or psychology discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a qualified mental health professional is required.
  • Experience and solid knowledge of the National Standards for Mental Health Services and the ability to support new graduate practitioners towards independent mental health practice are essential.
