Application Support Specialist: Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to ensure efficient and effective application development initiatives align with business technical needs and adhere to service level agreements through continuous improvement strategies.

This role will be responsible for maintaining effective governance and reporting regimes for the IT application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business needs and stakeholder understanding. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage third-party applications, assist with incident management, build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, provide expert consultancy and support for application development, and handle complex issues that require escalation and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in application support;
  • Experience managing third-party applications;
  • Experience with incident management;
  • Service Now experience or knowledge is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field.
