Network Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to implement changes and upgrades to our network infrastructure. This technical role involves hands-on work across LAN, WAN, WiFi, firewalls, routers, switches (core and edge), hubs and cabling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring internet gateway access and performance, plus measurements, reporting and alerts.

  • Implementing network protocols and security across TCP/IP, routing, VPNs and OSI layers 1 to 5
  • Leading the project lifecycle: build business cases, plan schedules and resources, maintain risk and issue registers, act as Change Manager, coordinate testing and stakeholder sign-off, hand over to support, and decommission/archive redundant systems
  • Managing vendor relationships: maintaining relationships, monitoring performance and costs, tracking releases and updates, and refining agreements
  • Assisting with day-to-day work orders according to business priority and team workload

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree qualification in a related field of study
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in network infrastructure
  • Significant knowledge of IT industry best practices
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of systems infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, friendly and enthusiastic attitude, reliable and flexible
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include implementing network changes and upgrades, monitoring internet gateway access, leading project lifecycles, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with day-to-day work orders.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
