Role Description

Our organisation's ethics compliance program is a cornerstone that ensures we meet our values and deliver services with high standards of business integrity.

As the Head of Ethics Compliance, you will work closely with our Legal, Assurance and Risk enabling function and report to our Chief Legal and Risk Officer.

The role requires collaboration with all levels of our organisation, including Executive Leadership Team members and front line leaders, as well as members of our global ethics compliance community.

You will identify, understand and assess ethics compliance and human rights risks, managing such risks through internal systems and processes.

You will have experience undertaking investigations as necessary and reporting findings and recommendations as required.

This role forms part of a close-knit community of divisional ethics compliance leads who engage regularly through the Ethics and Compliance Oversight Group.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful, you will have relevant experience working with internal corporate ethics systems and processes, developing and implementing ethics compliance programs, and handling issues and investigations within an organisation.

Specifically, you will require:

  • A degree (Law or related tertiary qualification preferred but not essential depending on experience)
  • Good understanding of risk management and specifically assessment of ethics compliance and human rights risks
  • Experience in delivering ethics or related training activities
  • Track record of influencing senior and executive leaders on the ethics compliance agenda
  • Highly developed people skills applicable at all levels of the organisation
  • Proactive self-starter who will take ownership of the area and deliver to requirements
  • Comfortable working autonomously within broader team environment
  • Ability to travel within Australia and internationally on short notice
