About the Role:

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be reporting to a supportive ER Manager who values your expertise and autonomy. You will leverage your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to guide complex cases from start to finish, collaborating closely with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to navigate and resolve a variety of employee and industrial relations matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-stakes cases: Take ownership of complex, high-risk cases, guiding them from start to resolution with confidence and expertise.
  • Drive investigations: Conduct confidential investigations into sensitive workplace issues, ensuring fairness and integrity.
  • Shape the future: Play a role in negotiations and the delivery of Enterprise Agreements, contributing to the company's growth and success.
  • Innovate and improve: Partner with the ER Manager to develop and implement strategies that continuously enhance people practices and minimize risks.
  • Be the go-to expert: Provide specialized advice to stakeholders on policies, procedures, and complex employment matters, becoming a trusted resource across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an ER/IR Specialist, ideally within highly regulated industries such as hospitality, retail, or healthcare.
  • In-depth knowledge of workplace legislation, regulations, industrial instruments, and awards.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to take initiative and thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
