About the Role
We're seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our Sales team at Zeller. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying potential customers, building relationships, and driving growth through effective prospecting techniques.
You'll spend your days leveraging multiple channels such as cold-calling, email outreach, door-to-door selling, referrals, and inbound lead generation to establish connections with small to large-sized businesses across various industries. Your goal will be to identify pain points and position Zeller as the ideal solution for their needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the diverse business needs of our clients and tailor Zeller's solutions accordingly.
- Maintain a meticulous pipeline of leads and deals within the Hubspot Sales Hub, adhering to high standards of hygiene and attention to detail.
- Own the full sales cycle, from planning to closing deals, exceeding individual targets.
- Translate complex merchant requirements into simple, elegant solutions using storytelling and case studies.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through timely and personalized interactions.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in fintech, payments, and SMEs to effectively communicate value proposition to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to relay customer feedback and drive product innovation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in BDR/SDR roles with a proven track record of achieving quarterly or activity-based goals.
- A genuine passion for people and their businesses, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with various prospecting methods, including cold-calls, email outreach, and door-to-door selling.
- Demonstrable proficiency in qualification, target customer identification, buyer interest evaluation, decision-making processes recognition, and buying signal awareness.
- Strong commercial acumen, including deal economics understanding and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and engage audiences.
- Experience with software tools like Hubspot Sales Hub, Google Suite, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
- Persistent in the face of new challenges and comfortable handling tough discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, or scale-up B2B sales.
- An established relationship with SME business owners and decision-makers.
Salary Estimate
$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
