
Health Care Administrator

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring seamless patient flow by efficiently utilizing time management skills and effective communication. Excellent patient care relies on accurate and timely medical administration processes, requiring attention to detail and organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the implementation of the Model of Care with a focus on leading and supporting the function of the medical reception.
- Ensure efficient patient flow through effective use of clinic calendars, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Display exceptional phone manner when taking calls or messages, providing clear and concise information.
- Handle GP referrals appropriately, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Contribute to ensuring the recall function is in accordance with ATSICHS Policies and Procedures.
- Handle patient correspondence in accordance with ATSICHS Privacy Policy and Procedures, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Pursue ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of service provision.
- Contribute to ensuring the Medical Service Billing function is in accordance with ATSICHS Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Availability across Monday - Saturday.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating effectively.
- Able to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture and ways of doing business.
- Previous experience working in an administration and/or service coordination role.
- Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service.
- Previous experience working with an electronic Patient Management System such as MMEx.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) and the Medicare system and Practice Incentive Programs (PIP).
- Certificate III Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Organisation skills, including an ability to multi-task, plan, set and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, and work independently, efficiently and effectively.
- Interpersonal communication skills that demonstrate your ability to problem solve and negotiate positive outcomes.
- Interpersonal skills with a focus on client focused outcomes.
