Primary Health Care Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administration Officer to join our Primary Health Care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical reception and providing exceptional patient care.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have experience working in an administration role, preferably in a healthcare setting, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
You will be responsible for actively contributing to the implementation of our Model of Care, ensuring efficient patient flow, and displaying exceptional phone manner when taking calls or messages. Additionally, you will handle GP referrals, contribute towards recall functions, and ensure the handling of patient correspondence is in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Procedures.
This is a casual role that offers great flexibility and work-life balance. We offer a competitive hourly rate, plus additional superannuation, and COVID-19 vaccination requirement.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
- Availability across Monday to Saturday
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and their leaders
- Preferred previous experience working in an administration and/or service coordination role
- $32.75 base hourly rate + Casual loading
- Additional 12% Superannuation
- Flexible casual role providing great work-life balance
