Risk and Control Advisory Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Advisory Manager to join our Treasury team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Operational Risk Frameworks, policies, and controls across Group Treasury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
- Profile and capture risks in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and update when risk trigger events occur.
- Report on operational risk and control profiles, issues, incidents, and other matters.
- Work effectively with Line 2 and Audit to determine optimal course of action to remediate findings.
- Process improvement and automation of processes to streamline work.
- Engage with stakeholders across Group Treasury and wider Group, requiring strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar Risk & Controls role within a financial services firm.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, and Alteryx skills preferable.
- Understanding of Treasury, Institutional Trading, or Market operations background is preferable but not necessary.
