Spiritual and Pastoral Care Coordinator - Emmaus Village Kemps Creek

Position: Permanent part-time (3 days per week) at Emmaus Village Kemps Creek, NSW. From $35 to $46.50 per hour + superannuation. Not-for-profit employer.

Overview

Catholic Healthcare is a values-based organisation providing care across NSW and QLD. The role reports to the Residential Manager and delivers pastoral care services to residents and clients, supporting their cultural and spiritual wellbeing and ensuring choice in line with the organisation's Mission.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal spiritual support and pastoral care to residents and clients in accordance with their preferences and Catholic Healthcare's Mission.
  • Support mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all policies and procedures to protect yourself, colleagues and residents.
Qualifications
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care.
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their families.
  • Commitment to respecting residents' values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
