Pastoral Care Volunteer

Be a supportive presence in the lives of elderly clients by offering spiritual and emotional care during home visits.

  • Provide comfort, connection, and spiritual encouragement to those in need.

This rewarding role involves working alongside our Pastoral Care Coordinator to support the spiritual needs of clients. Your visit could make a significant difference in their quality of life and help reduce feelings of isolation.

You'll have the opportunity to be actively involved with a local Christian church, complementing the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator. Your skills will be valued and appreciated as you work together to meet the spiritual needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support people to meet their spiritual needs

Requirements:

  • High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills
  • Pastoral Care training or experience

What You Can Expect:

  • Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation
  • We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability
