We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shutdown Coordinator to lead our operations. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team and take on a key role in ensuring the success of our projects.

About the Role

The Shutdown Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all activities, guaranteeing that safety standards are upheld, deadlines are met, and work is completed accurately to specifications and to the highest quality standards. Key duties will include:

  • Leading day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure time frames and deadlines are met, and providing guidance where necessary
  • Conducting regular Prestarts/Toolbox meetings to communicate planning and team direction, promoting clear understanding and coordination
  • Ensuring all works are completed correctly, adhering to QA processes, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Project planning and pre-works, taking into account site-specific requirements and constraints
  • Mentoring, training, and supervising employees, fostering a culture of learning and development
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve processes, striving for operational excellence, and staying up-to-date with industry best practices

This role requires a Shutdown Coordinator with proven experience in coordinating teams on mine sites, a strong focus on safety, and excellent mentoring skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Shovel or Dragline shutdown experience
  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Current Driver's License
  • Experience working in heavy machinery/mine site environments
  • Previous leadership experience, including managing small teams of tradespeople and apprentices
  • Supervisor & G2 Certificates
  • Certified Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11 - Statement of Attainment
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space
  • Gas Test Atmosphere
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, with a proven track record of achieving results
