About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Thiess maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex.

Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project that commenced mining operations in mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management, and rehabilitation, as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs of light vehicles, ancillary fleets, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with all safety and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain and utilize the Maintenance Management System to generate planned maintenance and major component repair cost budgets.
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers to ensure that all parts and materials required to effect repairs/services are available at the scheduled times.
  • Monitor and maintain the known work list Defect Reporting System and the on-site Condition Analysis Systems to ensure information is used to update the maintenance and service schedules.
  • Minimize plant costs through continually investigating alternative suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Responsibility for the short and medium-term maintenance scheduling and planning for our Light Vehicle, Ancillary equipment, and Infrastructure to maximize fleet availability and optimize the productivity of the operation.
About You
  • Relevant Trade or Tertiary Qualifications.
  • Fleet management experience and detailed knowledge of maintenance on a variety of equipment, preferably within the mining sector.
  • Proven knowledge of light vehicles, ancillary, and infrastructure type equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining Toyota, Scania, Volvo, and various other types of equipment.
  • Competence in computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft Office (Project, Word, and Excel).
