Job Title: Visitor Experience Leader

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Visitor Experience Leader to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna, and Aboriginal heritage.

This pivotal role is responsible for leading the visitor experience program. The Visitor Experience Leader manages a dispersed team located from Illawarra Highlands to Eden, developing and delivering visitor experiences (leisure, education, and small events), visitor services, volunteering, tourism industry liaison, and stakeholder communications.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre and Minnamurra Rainforest Centre
  • Developing and delivering guided tours, including Barunguba Montague Island visitor program
  • Coordinating transport, tours, and accommodation for multi-day walks
  • Supporting camping and roofed accommodation management in parks and reserves
  • Relationship management and communication with licensed commercial tour operators and internal stakeholders


What We're Looking For:

We are looking for a leader with demonstrated experience in tourism, accommodation, or visitor management. You will be accountable for setting and managing program and visitor centre budgets, ensuring the quality, integrity, and accuracy of advice provided in relation to the delivery of visitor services.

Essential requirements include:
  • Demonstrated expertise in visitor experience strategies and services, including marketing and consumer communications
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work after hours, including weekends, as required
