Job Title: Sr. Tier II Network Technician

Overview:

The company seeks a highly skilled and experienced network technician to support WAN and LAN networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot client LAN/WAN devices.
  2. Resolve incident tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Draft and implement standard network change requests to ensure seamless operations.
  4. Collaborate with Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects.
  5. Perform configuration management functions such as updating topology drawings, ensuring accurate asset management records, and conducting inventory.
  6. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
  7. Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security, Thin Configurations).

Requirements:

  1. TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  2. 16 years of experience equivalent to Doctorate and 8 years, master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.
  3. Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) IAT Level 2.
  4. Basic routing fundamentals knowledge.
  5. Layer 2 switching concepts knowledge.
  6. CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization processes knowledge.
  7. Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
  8. TCP/IP and OSI models knowledge.
  9. Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, and Brocade OS knowledge.
  10. Familiarity with OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, and GRE protocols.
  11. Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence familiarity.
  12. Service Now or similar ITSM products working knowledge.
  13. Up to 25% travel allowed.
