Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Computer Infrastructure Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems.

This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
  • Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.
  • Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory Skills: Systems Administration, Systems Architecture
  • Certifications: IAT Level II cert required; CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Experience: HS or GED + 19 Years experience; Bachelors + 14 Years experience
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI FS poly
