Enhance Resident Mobility and Quality of Life

IRT is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Aide to deliver physiotherapy programs, enhancing the physical mobility and quality of life of our clients by following individual routines, reporting changes and supporting the provision of physiotherapy.

This role involves delivering physiotherapy programs to meet the diverse physical needs of our residents in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will work closely with the Care Manager to develop and implement effective care plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physiotherapy programs within a group setting or one-to-one as directed by a physiotherapist, promoting resident independence and mobility
  • Assist and motivate residents to maintain their independence, encouraging participation in activities and therapies
  • Daily preparation of treatment areas, setup of equipment and completion of associated documentation
  • Contribute to the development and review of resident care plans, ensuring comprehensive support and care
To be successful youWillHave
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent qualification
  • A Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or another relevant qualification
  • Previous experience in designing and developing physiotherapy programs is desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet daily requirements and deadlines
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions
