IRT Moruya, far south coast, NSW is looking for a Physiotherapy Aide who is passionate about enhancing the physical mobility and quality of life of our clients by following individual routines, reporting changes and supporting the provision of physiotherapy. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will deliver physiotherapy programs to meet the diverse physical needs of our residents.

Role is on a Part time basis – 8 hours per week, Mondays and Thursdays (4 hours each day).

• Implement physiotherapy programs within a group setting or one-to-one as directed by a physiotherapist
• Assist and motivate in maintaining resident independence
• Daily preparation of treatment areas, setting up equipment and completing associated documentation
• Assist in the development and review of resident care plans

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
• A Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or another relevant qualification
• Previous experience in the design and development of physiotherapy programs (desirable)
• Experience or knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise your own work to meet daily requirements of the Physiotherapy Aide
• Effective problem solving skills with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions
