Job Title: Helpline Operations ManagerWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Helpline Operations team. As the Helpline Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 24/7 helpline, ensuring that we provide high-quality support to victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by family violence.   • Lead a team of practitioners, performing quality reviews and monthly performance evaluations.
  • Be accountable for team performance and provide specialist practice knowledge and guidance as required.
  • Build capability within the team to deliver crisis response services.
  • Provide day-to-day support and supervision to frontline staff as needed.
  • Track and report on supervision targets monthly.
  • Drive training and professional development within Client Services, in consultation with the Clinical Governance team.
  • Oversee daily operations in the 24/7 crisis response call centre, ensuring alignment with operational guidelines and relevant risk assessment tools.
  • Coordinate client movement through Safe Steps and broader FV systems to ensure caseloads, allocations, and workflows remain achievable and responsive.
  • Monitor risk, operational performance, and manage data collection daily.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience working in a 24/7 helpline.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and coordinating services.
  • Experience maintaining high-performing teams and managing to performance targets within a call centre environment.
  • Experience in staff support and supervision.
  • Experience promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity within an organisation.
  • Understanding of unique challenges faced by priority groups, including the LGBTIQ+ community and strategies to address them.
  • Commitment to living Safe Steps values: Integrity, Diversity, and Empowerment.
  • Current Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
