About the Role

As a critical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional support to victims of crime. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your leadership skills and expertise in victim services to drive positive outcomes.

The Helpline Supervisor oversees a team of Victim Support Officers who provide informed advice, support and information about victim services and entitlements. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, leading a team, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

  • Manage daily operations of the Helpline, including resource allocation and communication with staff and stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of VSOs to deliver required outputs and performance through appropriate resource planning and staff development.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure efficient operation of the Helpline.

This role requires an understanding of the Victims Support service system and associated legislation, as well as experience leading a team in a complex service delivery environment.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in community services, Social Work, Criminology, Psychology, victim services and/or family violence is desirable.
