Lead Airport Services with Qantas Group

We're seeking an accomplished people leader to drive our Airport Services strategy, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of airports throughout our network.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of success through targets, team member engagement, and regular performance reviews and development.
  • Drive a safety culture, prioritizing the safety of our people and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to achieve strategic, commercial, and cost objectives.
  • Evaluate and execute the Airport Services Strategy.
  • Ensure Airport Services achieves financial targets, including budget preparation, implementation, monitoring, and control.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Qantas Group stakeholders.
  • Uphold superior Airport Standards, including training programs, certification, and licensing standards.
  • Establish and start-up new Domestic and International airports.
  • Negotiate airport charges and access agreements as required.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for contracted airport handling agents and third-party service providers.
Your Ideal Profile:
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing a large customer-focused team.
  • Confidence in leading in a highly regulated, unionized, aviation environment.
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset, balancing cost, customer, compliance, and team member engagement.
  • Financial management experience, including managing a significant budget.
  • Genuine passion for people leadership, with significant exposure to leading diverse teams and responsibilities.
  • Comfort presenting to various audiences, including senior executive forums.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
