At Chrysos Corporation, we're looking for a skilled professional to fill the role of Customer Quality Manager. This exciting position involves ensuring that our clients receive high-quality results from our PhotonAssay units.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in engineering or science, and/or equivalent experience. Additionally, they should possess strong knowledge of international compliance and standardisation, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About The Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As a key member of our Product Performance team, you'll be responsible for managing relationships with customers, developing quality processes, and optimizing instrument performance.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that short and long term QAQC meets laboratory and end-user (mining) customer requirements.
  • Communicate and manage relationships with new and existing in-region Chrysos customers regarding instrument performance and data quality.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new quality processes and procedures to improve PhotonAssay data quality globally.
  • Manage relationships with direct customers regarding data quality, QAQC procedures, instrument calibration and performance.
  • Coordinate liaisons between customers and the Product Performance team.
  • Optimize on-site calibrations for new and existing services in collaboration with the Applications team.
  • Prepare documentation, technical reports, publications and presentations as required.
  • Mentor regional PhysOps team members and other junior staff in-region.
  • Develop improved data quality control procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for growth in service offerings and sample volumes with Technical Services.
  • Oversee long-term QAQC performance of PhotonAssay, comparing against traditional laboratory techniques.
  • Manage provisions from pre-deployment meetings with customers through to handover.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, technical excellence and ongoing staff learning and development.
  • Act as a data quality expert or technical support specialist as needed.
  • Support the development of a strong OH&S culture.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or science, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a laboratory or quality management role.
  • Understanding of mining industry QAQC requirements and report protocols under NI43-101, JORC and others.
  • Strong knowledge of international compliance and standardisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical documentation and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; ability to work globally.
  • Experience in quality control management in minerals or analytical laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency in development of reference materials and metrological traceability, including uncertainty of measurement.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and mentor other staff members.
  • Willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks, including those both 'above' and 'below' the designated role.
  • Inventive and creative problem solving; comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended questions.
