Job Description

As a Paraeducator, you will be responsible for providing academic, self-care, and behavior support to students in their classrooms. This includes assisting with toileting and feeding, as well as performing related instructional and classroom management supports.


Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in creating a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
  • Implement instructional strategies and practices applicable to Montgomery County Public Schools.
  • Monitor and support student behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of child development and instructional strategies.
  • The ability to implement instructional programs and support student learning.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professional staff.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
