Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kindergarten to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.

The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department provides learning enrichment and support for a wide range of students throughout the College. The team includes Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs), Learning Support Teachers (LSTs) for intervention and enrichment, and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). The department collaborates with parents, teachers, and other specialists to support students and their learning needs.

Due to growth at the College, we currently have several opportunities for Learning Support Assistants (Primary) at our Narre Warren South campus. Our Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. They are essential in ensuring each student receives the necessary support to participate actively in school and classroom activities, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.

We have multiple roles available, ranging from 3 to 5 days a week (8:45 am - 3:30 pm). There is also a 4-day-a-week fixed-term parental leave replacement role available for 2025.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

• Have at least a Certificate III or IV in Education Support, or are willing to study towards one
• Are passionate about supporting students with disabilities
• Can collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and support staff
• Possess high-level communication and interpersonal skills
• Have good administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Are an excellent problem-solver
• Enjoy working in a team environment

• Are willing to participate in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities
