Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled leader to join our team as a Compliance Coordinator.As a key member of the team, you will lead and coordinate investigations into unauthorized development, land use, pollution, and environmental breaches. You will also mentor and support a diverse team, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
You will triage and prioritize customer service requests using a risk-based approach, develop and implement proactive compliance programs and community education initiatives, and support Council in legal proceedings and collaborate with external stakeholders and agencies.
For this role, you should have a recognised tertiary qualification in a related discipline and extensive relevant experience. You should also have demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a regulatory or compliance setting, and be well-versed in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, and related legislation.
