**Hours**:

- Saturday 8-10 hour shift 9 am start, Sunday 8-10 hour shift 9 am start
- Monday: Afternoon 4-8pm

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Support Workers to provide care for a 6-year-old high needs child in Dapto. The child requires specialized care, including tube feeding during the day and using a biPAP machine at night. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the child's well-being and quality of life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide attentive and compassionate care to the child, meeting her physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Administer tube feeding and assist with any other medical procedures as required under supervision.
- Monitor and adjust the biPAP machine as necessary during the night.
- Safely transport the child using a larger vehicle, ensuring her comfort and safety during transit.
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities to promote socialization and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the child at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, to ensure the child's care plan is followed accurately.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working with children, especially those with high needs.
- Nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid full driver's license.
- Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to provide care on weekends and holidays. There will be 8-10 hour shifts during the day
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 23 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
