Overview

UGL Regional Linx (UGLRL) is a subsidiary of UGL, headquartered in Orange, NSW, with regional depots throughout the state. We focus on creating job opportunities in regional and rural communities, with over 85% of our workforce based in regional NSW. We manage the CRN – Country Regional Network, ensuring safe transportation of people and goods across NSW.

Job Purpose: Manage pre-planning and construction delivery to achieve project time and budget objectives. Successfully lead the project delivery process and drive completion of work in accordance with TAO requirements. Deliver works that fully satisfy the UGLRL's and the Client's expectations of time, cost, safety and environmental objectives. Additionally, managing site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and fulfil UGLRL TAO Obligations for construction in line with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practise.
  • TAO requirements and quality
  • Review and arrange the approval designs as construction.
  • Accountable for all construction management to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Accountable for creation, updating and adherence to the project programme.
  • Liaise with Project Planner to ensure adequate track possession by methods of long-term application or As Trains Permit bid sheets
  • Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Structures).
  • Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with intention to apply.
  • Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving License
  • 8-15 years' post graduate experience with 8+ years site based
  • Demonstrated delivery of minor/major projects to program and budget specifications in a leadership role.
