About the Opportunity

Are you a compassionate and proactive professional looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an experienced AOD/Mental Health Clinician to join our team at The Salvation Army Youth Services.

This permanent, part-time position (15.2 hours per week) is based in Blacktown, NSW, and offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team. As a valued member of our team, you will have the chance to provide high-quality assessment, treatment, and support to individuals and families accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based counseling interventions and develop appropriate referral pathways for clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with external stakeholders and contribute to the growth and development of our services.
  • Act as a values-driven and proactive clinician, working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (must hold Provisional Registration with AHPRA or have internship documentation sent to AHPRA within a fortnight of commencing employment).
  • A valid NSW Employee Working With Children Check and a current NSW Driver Licence.
  • Clinical experience in providing evidence-based treatment and the ability to build rapport with young people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to impart knowledge in a learning environment.
