REO Group is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their Sydney CBD based team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting incoming and renewal business with existing clients, as well as partnering with new businesses to grow your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess risk and underwrite incoming quotes
  • Engage broker partners to ensure accurate risk assessment and profitable underwriting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers
  • Ensure timely management of processing documents
  • Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting, focused on commercial or specialist products
  • Previous experience engaging with brokers and managing own broker relationships
  • Sound risk assessment skills and DUA to underwrite on own
  • Experience with online portal underwriting
  • Interest in technology, cyber, and future of insurance
  • Excellent communication skills
