We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Contract Management Officer to join our team at the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
About Our Team
The Operational Capability Branch is the driving force behind Australian Border Force's technologies, providing support to the ABF in their frontline activities to detect illicit substances and sustain technologies such as X-Ray machines, CCTV, UHF, trace and detection equipment, and In-Vehicle Tracking devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and contribute to a rolling proactive and reactive national project protecting the capability and usability of a geographically dispersed UHF operational Enforcement Communications network.
- Contribute to efficient and effective planning, financial management, governance, performance reporting, procurement, contract management, and administration for the Enforcement Communications Team.
- Work with a level of autonomy as part of a small team within the Project team to contribute to best practice procurement activities, within Departmental policy and guidelines, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a primarily procurement or project-based role.
- Knowledge and experience in government procurement and contract management activities.
