Procurement and Contract Management Officer

About the Role
The Australian Government Department of Home Affairs is seeking a skilled Procurement and Contract Management Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Enforcement Communications Team, you will be responsible for managing and contributing to a rolling proactive and reactive national project that protects the capability and usability of one of the world's largest geographically dispersed UHF operational Enforcement Communications networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Use existing government contracts, Panel arrangements, and other appropriate procurement mechanisms to procure services and hardware.
- Contribute to Branch procurement activities, such as open approaches to market, contract variations, and Panel contracts.
- Provide procurement and contract management advice and support to the Section and stakeholders in relation to contract establishment processes and ongoing management.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and support contract managers with contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks, negotiations, and coordination of large and complex extensions or approaches to market.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting (or equivalent) or be willing to attain as a matter of priority.
- At least 2 years of minimum recent experience in a primarily procurement or project-based role.
- Knowledge and experience in government procurement and contract management activities are highly desirable.
