Procurement and Contract Management Expert

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Contract Management Specialist to join our team at Onpoint 365, a leading Indigenous-owned recruitment agency based in Canberra.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits.
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with strong contract management skills to develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with our organisational goals and budgets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing complex procurement activities from initiation to completion, as well as a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the tendering process, including preparing RFPs, evaluating bids, and selecting suppliers that meet our needs and compliance standards.
- Negotiate favourable contract terms, manage supplier agreements, and monitor ongoing performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of any issues or disputes.
- Ensure all procurement and contract activities comply with relevant regulations and organisational policies, and prepare detailed reports for senior management on procurement performance and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Commerce, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in a government or federal environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate procurement and contract risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
