Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to drive the optimization and management of our inventory operations while leading all vendor inventory initiatives.

Based at our Truganina location, you will play a key role in inventory management and supply chain coordination. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future demand, incorporating promotions and new launches.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, monitor stock turnover, and implement inventory control systems to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Supply Planning: Generate and review purchase orders regularly, coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times and quantities, and adapt plans to any supply disruptions.
  • Procurement Coordination: Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve supply challenges.
  • System & Data Management: Manage inventory systems (ERP), update product data, and develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor inventory performance.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong experience analyzing sales data and market trends for accurate forecasting.
  • Proven ability to balance stock levels to meet customer demand without excess inventory.
  • Proficient in collaborating with procurement, suppliers, and logistics to ensure smooth inventory replenishment.
  • Skilled in using inventory management and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDA, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in tracking inventory and purchase orders.
  • Problem solver capable of identifying supply chain disruptions and implementing corrective actions.
  • Clear communicator who can effectively liaise with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage inventory cycles efficiently.
  • Experience leading inventory projects and process improvements is a plus.
