Ecologist Position Overview

We seek an experienced ecologist to provide high-quality ecological services and advice.

  • Provision of expert technical guidance on project-related matters
  • Effective project management and stakeholder communication
  • Delivery of high-quality ecological surveys and assessments
  • Participation in field survey programs for diverse ecological data collection
  • Environmental legislation interpretation and application
  • Preparation of comprehensive reports detailing project findings and implications
  • Support in proposal preparation and tendering
  • Mentorship and leading field trips

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-6+ years' experience in ecology with expertise in ecological surveys and report production
  • Background in flora and fauna identification and field survey design
  • BAM accreditation preferred, working towards accreditation considered advantageous
  • Excellent written and computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Project management experience including client management and budget control
