Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Botanist to join our National Ecology team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of projects, applying standards, and managing resources.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Providing technical ecological expertise on complex projects
  • Supporting business development and maintaining a sustainable pipeline of work for the team
  • Providing technical oversight and quality assurance on ecology deliverables
  • Providing technical advisory services to the wider environment team and interstate ecology team
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, ecology, biology, or a related discipline
  • Extensive relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of projects
  • Strong capability in biodiversity field assessment and plant identification
  • Demonstrated experience in ecological impact assessment and BAM Accreditation
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members
