About the Role

The Administration Officer will be the primary point of contact for customers and will be responsible for organizing events, including the Annual Mareeba Rodeo & Show and Festival Week. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers and stakeholders
  • Organize and coordinate events, including logistics, marketing, and communication
  • Manage administrative tasks, including correspondence, banking, and invoicing
  • Prepare and lodge financial reports, including the quarterly BAS
  • Meet with committee members to discuss event planning and progress
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and sponsors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MYOB bookkeeping and other administrative software
  • Event management experience and knowledge of liquor permit compliance
