Procurement Job Overview:

The organisation seeks an experienced Strategic Procurement Lead to lead the provision of procurement services.

This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to support business needs, ensuring cost-effective procurement and high-quality goods and services.

  • Centralise group approach to supplier management for direct spend.
  • Leverage purchasing power to enhance pricing and rebate outcomes.
  • Create and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement and high-quality goods and services.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Manage the entire procurement process from initiation of purchase requests to final receipt and approval of goods.
  • Ensure procurement activities stay within financial constraints.
  • Analyse market trends to forecast demand and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to improve procurement efficiency.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years' experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain in a managerial capacity, holding a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance or a related field, and professional certifications such as CPSM or CPM.
