Student Wellbeing Specialist

Trinity College is seeking an experienced Psychologist/Counsellor to join its dynamic and supportive educational community. The successful applicant will play a critical role in promoting students' mental health and wellbeing.

About the Role

\

The Psychologist/Counsellor will be responsible for providing evidence-based psychological services to K-12 students, including individual counselling, group sessions, psychoeducational assessments, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to support student development.

Key Responsibilities

  • \
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to students\
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness\
  • Develop strategies to support students with learning, behavioural, and emotional challenges\
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support student learning and wellbeing plans\
  • Deliver workshops or presentations on mental health and resilience\
  • Support crisis intervention when needed\
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture\

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • \
  • An APAC-accredited postgraduate qualification in psychology, meeting the requirements for general registration as a psychologist in Australia\
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting\
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties\
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills\
  • Flexibility to work across multiple campuses as required\
  • A commitment to Christian values and practices\
