As the school's Psychologist, you will be responsible for promoting students' mental health and well-being through evidence-based practices, including individual counselling, group sessions, and psychoeducational assessments.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing psychological services to K-12 students, addressing their learning, behavioural, and emotional challenges.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective strategies to support student success.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement student learning and well-being plans.
- Delivering workshops and presentations on mental health and resilience to students, parents, and staff.
- Supporting crisis intervention when needed, demonstrating a proactive approach to student care.
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centred school culture, embodying our values and mission.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full registration as a Psychologist with the relevant national regulatory authority.
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting, showcasing your expertise and passion for youth development.
- A strong understanding of child development, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties, enabling you to provide informed support.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work across multiple campuses as required, demonstrating your adaptability and willingness to collaborate.
- A committed Christian, actively involved in your church and able to subscribe to our College's Confession of Faith, found on our website.
