Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our educational community. This role will be based across two campuses of our independent K-12 school.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based mental health services to students, including individual consultations and group sessions.
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies for students with learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support student learning and well-being plans.
  • Deliver workshops on mental health and resilience for students, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

  • AAPAC-accredited postgraduate qualification in psychology or a recognised qualification in Counselling.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work across two campuses as required.
  • A committed Christian who can subscribe to the College's Confession of Faith.
