Role Overview

This position reports to the Commissioning Manager and is responsible for leading the commissioning of intricate systems, ensuring compliance with stringent standards and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Coordination: Direct commissioning teams through factory acceptance testing, installation verification, pre-commissioning, and performance assessments.
  2. Safety & Compliance: Maintain health, safety, and environmental protocols. Recognize and mitigate hazards while enforcing company policies.
  3. Technical Expertise: Formulate and oversee commissioning strategies, allocate resources, and verify that systems fulfill performance criteria.
  4. Customer Focus: Cultivate strong client relationships and deliver services that surpass expectations.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Propel internal system enhancements and improve external service delivery.
  6. Communication: Facilitate effective communication within teams and with stakeholders to ensure clarity and influence project results.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Electrical Trade or Engineering degree
  2. High voltage experience or qualification (Desirable)
  3. Hazardous area experience or qualifications
  4. Relevant industry experience in power generation or related heavy industry (Oil & Gas, Mining, or Industrial)
  5. Experience in construction commissioning and testing
  6. Extensive technical knowledge and practical experience in testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of power generation facilities and equipment preferred.
  7. Demonstrated success in commissioning roles, comfortable with both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  8. Industrial control systems experience (Desirable)
  9. Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Proven ability to meet project deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
  12. Proficient in MS Office
  13. Valid Driver's License (Essential)
  14. Must possess working rights for Australia
