Our client is an Australian-based full-service telecommunications company that provides end-to-end solutions in access, transit, and wireless telecommunications networks and offers design, installation, and maintenance services for regional and remote locations across Tasmania, Victoria, and South Australia. They are currently seeking a Rigger who can work across their **South Australia** sites.
You will be based in **Dudley Park**, **South Australia** for 2 -3 weeks in a month, where you will be tasked with the construction and maintenance of communications masts/ towers, including radio and TV towers.
Relocation costs and FIFO option is available. You will be receiving very generous LAFA (Living Away from Home Allowance) and will also be paid overtime for extra hours worked.
As a permanent, casual employee you will have annual leave and sick leave and will also be given access to a company vehicle to travel to the site in.
You will receive Training and Development as the company continues to grow, be assigned to interesting and crucial projects, and receive generous overtime pay and a mental health allowance.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Install, test and maintain telecommunications equipment mounted on high structures
- Installing and maintaining radio links
- Installing and maintaining waveguide feeder cables
- Liaise with Supervisor/s and/or Manager on project timing or issues
- Ensure timely completion of all project activities
**To be successful in the role, you will need to have**:
- Knowledge of feeder and antenna installation
- Knowledge of wireless technology and microwave radio
- Detailed knowledge of rigging practices as applicable to communications construction
- Obtainable appropriate compliance certifications including but not limited to; a Drivers License, Construction White Card, First Aid and CPR Certificate, RF Awareness, Current High-Risk License and Working at Heights and Fitness Level to pass Fit to Climb Medical
**Preferred / Desired Qualifications include**:
- Truck license, medium or heavy rigid
- Certificate III, IV or Associate Diploma in Telecommunications and/or equivalent field experience
- Demonstrated experience in planning, installation and commissioning of communications projects
- Experience in performing installation, integration, testing and commissioning of communications projects
- Prior experience in telecommunications, particularly with wireless technology
