Job Description
  • This position is based on a 2:1 FIFO roster, with flights out of any major cities with a 10.5-hour workday.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks for This Role Include:
  • Reports to the Senior Project Engineer.
  • Co-ordinate and work in alignment with the environmental and revegetation lead.
  • Manage the technical civil components of external engineering consultant contracts and ensure that the civil components of the remediation designs are achieve the project objectives
  • Co-ordinate with the civil contractors during execution to ensure works are completed in compliance with the civil engineering designs
  • Maintain a positive safety culture and work with contractors on site to meet safety KPIs
  • Understand and uphold the values of the Client's Governance systems
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing detailed design and engineering consultant packages for enabling works, civil, and earthworks.

You will also support internal review, governance, and quality assurance processes for engineering deliverables. This role will primarily focus on the remediation packages within the closure project, including transitional and final landform redesign.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field) and 3-7 years of professional experience in civil project engineering, with a proven experience in the mining sector.

Additionally, you will need to have extensive expertise in developing and implementing project schedules, cost estimates, coordination activities, and managing contractor claims. You will also need to demonstrate project management capabilities, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a high level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the values of the company.
