Job Title: Senior Civil Project Specialist

 

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned civil project specialist to spearhead major demolition and closure projects in the Northern Territory. This is an opportunity to join our team on a 2:1 FIFO roster, with flights out of major cities and a 10.5-hour workday.

The successful candidate will support senior project engineers in coordinating detailed design packages for enabling works, civil, and earthworks. They will also serve as the primary interface with contractors during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with engineering designs.

This role involves collaboration with environmental teams to deliver high-quality results. We welcome candidates with experience working alongside these teams or those eager to learn and grow in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to the senior project engineer.
  • Collaborates closely with environmental and revegetation leads.
  • Manages technical civil components of external contracts, ensuring remediation designs meet project objectives.
  • Coordinates with civil contractors to ensure works are completed according to designs.
  • Maintains a positive safety culture and works with contractors to meet safety KPIs.
  • Understands and upholds company values and governance systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in civil project engineering, preferably in the mining sector.
  • Ability to start immediately is highly preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in developing project schedules, cost estimates, coordination activities, and managing contractor claims.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
